My cousin and I called in last Tuesday 16/09/14, for lunch. We were greeted and seated immediately, then came the problem of what to choose. The menu choice was excellent, unfortunately for us, we didn't account for the portion size, and regrettably we both left half our meal. The quality was outstanding, and we have vowed to return, next time choosing something from the kids menu, or a sharing platter. A highly recommended place to visit, even though it is an 80 mile round trip !

we called in for a bite in a lovely setting but WOW were we impressed! The food was amazing! I had the smoked chicken and avocado and mango salad and I didn't realise that a salad could be made to taste that divine! Terry had the miners pie which he was convinced contained an entire chicken. The service came with an upbeat and welcome happy smile, the atmosphere was great. We WILL be back without a doubt but this time the food will be the main attraction.

I visited this lovely pub last Thursday evening (ie 28/06/12) with my two young cousins from Australia and dog Tess. The weather was sunny and we were able to enjoy eating our meal outside. The food was delicious and good value. The owners were very friendly and welcoming and even gave Tess a very welcome treat. I do reccomend this place especially if you are a dog lover and want to enjoy fabulous pub food and company with your four legged best friend.
