About
Founded by Jonathan Poole and Paddy Smith, this Liverpool-born restaurant group has grown into a genuine local success story. The team launched their first venture, Salt House Tapas, in July 2010, specialising in Spanish small plates. Following its success, they opened Hanover Street Social in August 2011, offering a modern brasserie-style menu. In 2014, they introduced Bacaro, serving Venetian small plates, and most recently opened Bouchon, a classic French bistro on the corner of Castle Street serving modern French dishes. Driven by a passion for genuine hospitality, Jonathan and Paddy believe that unforgettable dining comes from both exceptional food and the care with which it’s served. Now focused solely on Bacaro, they continue to embrace creativity and consistency while crafting the kind of special moments that keep guests coming back.
