Peckforton Castle makes the Cheshire Business Awards 2013 Shortlist

Peckforton Castle has been shortlisted for Business of the Year at the Cheshire Business Awards 2013.

The castle, set in heart of Tarporley, has already had a successful 12 months; receiving its 3rd AA Rosette, winning Hotel of the Year at the Marketing Cheshire Awards and being Highly Commended in the Large Hotel of the Year category at the national VisitEngland Awards.

This latest nod sees Peckforton Castle face two other businesses as they compete for the coveted award in the large business category, which employs over 50 or more staff.

This year will be the 10th Anniversary for the Trinity Business Cheshire Awards in association with SAS Daniel and Click Consult. There are 11 awards up for grabs and categories range for businesses whatever the size of trade.

Competition has been particularly tough in 2013 as award entries were up by 30% forcing the judges to make some tough decisions on the shortlist.

One of those on the panel, Kaye Whitby, Partner at the law firm SAS Daniels says:

"The standard of entries this year was extremely high. It was an absolute pleasure to be involved in the judging process and reinforce the excellent businesses and opportunities that exist in Cheshire"

Peckforton Castle will be judged on its all round business excellence, financial performance, business strategy and sound future plans.

Sales & Marketing Director for Peckforton Castle, Matthew Naylor is really pleased to be shortlisted and is hoping they can pick up the award.

“Our team would love to win Business of the Year – it would be a huge honour and a testament to the hard work our dedicated staff put in on a daily basis to make the castle the success it is.”

He adds:

“Cheshire is full of fantastic businesses and we are proud to be a part of that community and help it to thrive.”

Winners will be announced at a gala dinner and awards ceremony hosted by Lucy Meacock on Friday, October 4, at Chester Racecourse.
