Leading Cheshire hotel, wedding, conference and events venue, Peckforton Castle has scooped the prestigious Large Hotel of the Year award for the second year in a row at the annual Marketing Cheshire Awards.

Now in its ninth year the esteemed ceremony was held at Tatton Park last night, hosted by Heart FM Breakfast Show Host Angela Jay.

There were 17 award categories, recognising some of the best businesses in Cheshire – Virgin Trains sponsored the Large Hotel of the Year and winner Peckforton Castle was given a glowing report from the panel of judges.

We were impressed at the family run business demonstrating strong values that are shown throughout the hotel.

The building has such strong English Heritage and has worked hard to keep these unique touches making Peckforton Castle different and innovative.

Peckforton Castle will now be entered into the national VisitEngland Awards where they will compete against other large hotels across the UK.

Chris Naylor, Managing Director of Peckforton Castle, is delighted at the win and the opportunity to go to the Nationals again:

"To retain the title of Large Hotel of the Year is a real honour for us.

Cheshire has a wealth of successful businesses and to be acknowledged for the continuous hard work we do at Peckforton Castle means a lot.

Myself and my family want to thank our loyal team and we look forward to representing the region at the national VisitEngland awards next year.
