Alvanley Arms Staff Winners at the CATS AWARDS 2009

The CATS Awards 2009 - Celebrating Achievements of Talented Staff, The visitor economy’s most outstanding skills event.

Alvanley award winners...
Sue — Winner of Highly Skilled Front of House Staff.
James – Winner of Individual Excellence in Customer Service.

There was a double celebration here at the Alvanley Arms with Sue Bouch taking the Highly Skilled Front of House award and James Fosbrook winning the award for Individual Excellence in Customer Service.

Sue, our Front of House Manager, fully deserved this award as she leads from the front, training, encouraging and motivating the staff to make sure the customers have the best possible experience in every aspect of their stay. She also liaises closely with the kitchen team to ensure there’s a seamless relationship between them and the customer.

The judge said "Sue showed that she uses her vast knowledge and experience to deliver an outstanding and exceptional front of house service to both customers and colleagues"
James, one of our waiters and bar person, has a mature, caring and pro-active approach to meeting customer needs. At only eighteen years old, he has become a real asset to the business and knows what the customers need even before they know they need it!

James was selected as a result of a mystery shop and the judge described him as "an amazing member of staff who was very personable, engaging and charismatic"

Ruth Badger (of The Apprentice) was our compere for the evening.
