Mel's (Short) review of a trip to Ask Warrington

This place has only gone and had a full refurbishment so the décor was fab.

You know me, always after a bargain so I found a good old voucher on their website for 30% off food & a free glass of Prosecco each for your party. Not bad eh.

Now I'm not usually a chain type of girl, but credit to them the food was to die for.

We had a starter of Mushrooms Al Forne – Mushrooms stuffed with Gran Padano & mozzarella, breadcrumbs, garlic & onions and then baked on Italian bread and served with garlic mayonnaise – we shared the starter although we were fighting over the largest piece it was that yummy.

Main course of Spaghetti Bolognese for the other half – who said it was cooked better than most and he was happy with the very decent portion.

My main was the Aragosta E Gamberoni – Lobster & King prawns in a creamy tomato sauce with a hint of chilli, it was topped with a king prawn in its shell & crunchy croutons. See the tasty pic.

Absolutely divine – and very filling so unfortunately no room for dessert.

All in all service was great, timings between courses was spot on, Prosecco was cold & fizzy so that was good, basically it was all really good.

Voucher link below but it may change..
