Benvenuto to Byronissimo!
Byron say benvenuto to Byronissimo, their new Italian-inspired special, launching in all Byron restaurants on 14th April and available until 25th May.
Hearing rumours of a burgeoning burger scene in Italy (a country that’s famously traditional when it comes to food), Byron’s Head Chef Fred Smith and founder Tom Byng headed off to see what the fuss was all about. The burgers they ate on their travels chimed with the Byron ethos of simple things done properly, and inspired Byronissimo – a Byron take on an Italian-style hamburger.
This new hamburger features a 6oz patty topped with pancetta, Italian Fontina cheese and slow-cooked tomato relish, plus pickled red onion, shredded iceberg, tomato and mayonnaise, all in a squishy bun and priced at £9.95.
To help guide diners through their Italian journey, for the duration of the special the Byron menu will double up as a handy illustrated guide inspired by Italians’ characteristically animated hand movements, showing guests how to communicate in two languages: in Italian… and in Byronissimo!
