Northop Hall - Hotel’s £half-million landmark

The North Wales visitor economy received a further boost this week as the Holland family unveiled the results of its latest major investment at Northop Country House Hotel.

A massive £half million project has created a new extension housing North Wales’ newest restaurant, Chequers.

The seventy-seat restaurant was officially opened with an event for local businesses, developers, contractors and staff.

Northop Country House Hotel was taken over by Tony and Helen Holland, and their son Charles, two years ago. They immediately launched an ambitious programme of refurbishment and development to create one the region’s premier venues for conferences, dining and events.

“Chequers represents another marvellous milestone for Northop Country House Hotel,” said General Manager, Charles Holland. “This is another step forward in realising the full potential of this superb location.”

A newly refurbished conference room and private dining area for local businesses has also been introduced recently, along with
a new sun terrace for company meetings and entertaining stakeholders.

Refurbishment has also been carried out on the hotel’s 35 luxury bedrooms, with a new look to all rooms and additional suites being developed.
