Calling all Cheshire Foodies (and any local musicians!)

October 2011 marks the start of a beautiful new friendship between North West gastronomes and local producers and restaurateurs. The first ever Cheshire Food Festival will take place on Saturday 15th and Sunday 16th October at the historic and beautiful Walton Hall and Gardens, Warrington.

The Cheshire Food Festival represents a special addition to the North West’s existing food event calendar and offers visitors a two day celebration of food comprising a restaurant showcase in the Taste Marquee, cooking demonstrations in Walton Hall, local producers’ market, craft stalls and workshops for children and adults, live music and Mad Hatter’s Tea Party for foodies of all ages!

Chefs from some of Cheshire’s most established and popular restaurants will be doing demonstrations throughout the festival weekend , including, to name a few: Stuart Collins of The Abode Hotel, Chester; Olivier Troalen of La Boheme; Chris Marshall of Marshalls; Ravi Bajaj of Dilli, and Dan Turner and Sarah Newall of Warrington Collegiate.

For those of you looking to take a taste of the weekend home, there will be 50 stalls offering a tempting range of delicious products from cakes and ice creams for the sweet-toothed to liqueurs and caviar for the discerning bon viveur! Exhibitors include Orchard Pigs, The English Rose Bakery, Doodleloo, Delicious Sauce Company, Tatton Brewery and Shaws Meats Ltd, to name but a few – all masters in artisanal foods and beverages.
