Michelin-rated Dilli is now in the Good Food Guide
Dilli - Altrincham’s Michelin-rated Indian restaurant - is among the new entries in the 2011 Good Food Guide.
The UK’s bestselling restaurant guide praises a menu that is “a world away from your high street curry house” and a kitchen that “has a skill and lightness of touch with the spicing.”
The new entry comes in a year that has seen Dilli go deeper into Indian regional cuisine than ever before – with genuine Indian food and styles of cooking that are unfamiliar in most of the UK’s Asian restaurants.
The 60th anniversary edition of The Good Food Guide says that standards in the North West “show no sign of slipping” as the total number of listed restaurants in the region reaches 84.
“The experience of dining out in the North West has been transformed over the last 60 years, and the restaurant scene is thriving,” says Elizabeth Carter, consultant editor of The Good Food Guide which was created in 1951 to raise the standards of dining out in Britain.
The guide does not accept advertising and pays for every meal it reviews to ensure it is completely independent and impartial.
