DELIcious visit for Mel
Yes folks, that was an attempt at a pun which I think worked. Something else that seems to be working rather well is the very nice delicatessen; Jones Deli, a new addition to The Egerton Arms family on the A537 just outside Knutsford and Alderley Edge.
Specialising in Italian, French, British and local produce, Jones Deli brings some of the finest produce from across the globe under one roof.
Mel was driving the ‘Onionmobile’ from Macclesfield last week and thought she'd drop in to grab some lunch – and what a good idea that was.
With many of the products at Jones Deli new to the market, it's a terrific place to find things you won't find in your local supermarket - from white truffle honey to their own flavoured butters; it's an absolute joy to shop here.
Not only stocking the usual charcuterie goods, there's a great range of mustards, French (and Cheshire) cheeses, olives, tapas and alcohol. Plus they sell fantastic pork pies - scroll down to see the glossy shiny pie on display!
They even sell olive oil by the litre in gorgeous quirky bottles which can be returned for more – something Mel hasn’t seen before in Cheshire.
The best thing about this deli is that it has such a vast range of specialised beautiful foods, yet not charging the usual ridiculous prices for it. You can also dine in the Egerton Arms if you fancy seeing how some of this produce can turn into a spectacular plate of food.
Put it this way – when was the last time you ate a tomato which made you feel great? The answer is never, until you visit Jones Deli; so get down there
TODAY.
