Happy 1st Birthday!

Heswall’s Franklyn’s Bar & Kitchen on Telegraph Road celebrated its 1st birthday this month with a party on Friday November 8th 2013 attended by more than 100 people with live music from Paul Carden and free Prosecco and bar snacks on arrival.

Commenting on the past year, Rob Murch co-founder of Franklyn’s Bar & Kitchen said:
“Franklyn’s is a fantastic venture for Olly Green and I and we’re going into year two with great confidence about the future.
“We’ve recently recruited some incredible staff and the team we have around us going into year two will enable us to up our game even further.”

In the business for more than 20 years, Rob Murch and Olly Green have worked together and in some high profile venues individually from Sydney, Australia to Dublin, Ireland and with their joint experience in bartending, have created a unique offer in Heswall as its first free pouring cocktail bar. It has gone down really well and the venue has attracted a loyal customer-base over the last 12 months.
Co-founder Olly Green added:
“After a fantastic first year in operation, Rob Murch and I are now looking to the future and we’re keen to expand and find the second bar in the portfolio and we’re considering the Cheshire/south Manchester area for the next Franklyn’s.”

To celebrate its first birthday, Franklyn’s Bar & Kitchen, keen to become even more active in the local community agreed to support Wirral St John’s Hospice as part of the birthday celebrations and is working up a plan to support the charity over the next 12 months.
Michelle Talgam, Fundraising Development Manager commented;
“We were really pleased to get the approach from Franklyn’s to help raise awareness of Wirral St John’s Hospice at its first birthday party and we’re excited about working up a plan for how we might work together over the next 12 months.”
