Pigs heads, vodka pickles and sweetbreads......
Our very own Mel was one of the lucky ones last night to try the upcoming new menu at Room, who recently celebrated retaining their two AA rosettes.
Anybody who has been to Room will know that this restaurant and bar has both terrific food and stunning decor with its impressive lampshades, funky music, exotic cocktail list and scrumptious contemporary dishes with classic combinations.
As far as restaurants go, Room were on the ball last night with a full restaurant and good atmosphere in the enormous room – I know, it was Tuesday. More so, was the sight of the new menu including pig’s heads, vodka pickles and basil meringues (not together of course)....
Mel was initially going to meticulously explain every element of the six dishes, but no words could explain how delicious they were and neither could she pinpoint each of the many ingredients tingling her palette! Instead, she took some pretty photographs.
Since leaving last night, Mel hasn’t shut up about this food. This is partly because of the copious matching wines she guzzled, but to be fair she does know good food, and good food this was.
This new menu is available from August 14th. We expect there to be a stampede, so book now to avoid disappointment.
