Salt House Tapas & Hanover Street Social make both Michelin and The Good Food Guide 2013!
With inclusion in both The Good Food Guide and now the Michelin Guide for 2013 for the first time, both Hanover Street Social and Salt House Tapas join an elite group of venues to be included in both - especially as it's their first year trading!
Director Jonathan Poole said: “On behalf of all the team, we’re delighted at our inclusion. Salt House Tapas was our first restaurant in the city and we’ve been overwhelmed by how people have responded to our authentic twist on tapas.
“Hanover Street Social is an entirely different concept in many ways, but both ventures have shared values.
“Both restaurants have had huge emphasis placed on the sourcing and preparation of dishes and equally, on personal service for the customer and it’s paid off.
“Based upon our travels and experience of customer demands at the high end, a key focus has been hospitality. Our aim from day one was to change the way customers think of their relationship with a restaurant.”
Elizabeth Carter, consultant editor of The Good Food Guide, said: “It is fantastic to see that there are really strong dining options to be enjoyed across the region, with a mix of new entries sitting alongside first-rate fine dining establishments and perennial favourites.”
Congratulations to them both!

Welcome to Hanover Street Social, a large modern brasserie in the centre of Liverpool. We are open for breakfast at weekends, lunch daily and evening meals and drinks of course! For us being social is about friends and family more than a political ideology and our very special 11.95 two course lunch is perfect for businesses or in between shopping.
Why not socialise over cocktails from our award winning cocktail maker Matt (Blue Peter badge holder!) at the bar followed by dinner and join us again for Sunday brunch when the party's over!
Described as 'a one hundred and twenty-cover Brasserie combining a New York and London feel', Hanover Street Social is much anticipated following the success of Salt House Tapas.
Additional features include Tom Dixon light fittings, a hundred square metres of Metro-style tiles, luxurious leather bar stools perched alongside the venue's 11 metre bar with capacity for 30 plus character furniture in abundance.
