Hard Rock Cafe Manchester celebrates 15 rockin’ years in the city!



On Saturday 12 September, Hard Rock Cafe Manchester marks its fifteenth year rockin’ the heart of the city. In celebration, Hard Rock has planned a jam-packed month featuring brilliant live music, second-to-none food offerings and competitions galore encouraging all Mancunians to join the celebrations.

Friday 11 September sees birthday celebrations kick off as Hard Rock Cafe Manchester gets set to host 15 days of free, live music every night until 25 September (excluding 17 September). Music fans are being invited to come down and rock out to incredible live music by some of the finest hot new music acts in the city, which will be sure to entertain crowds during its landmark birthday month. The live music series culminates in Real XS Future Classics on the 25 September, a night dedicated to the greatest rock songs of all time. Keep an eye on the website for the full music schedule.

Marking Hard Rock Cafe Manchester’s official birthday on Saturday 12 September, the cafe will be opening up an hour early, at 11:00am, where for one hour only, its famous burgers will be on sale for just 15 pence! A whopping 765,000 burgers have been sold in the cafe since it opened its doors back in 2000, so this limited time burger offer, available whilst stocks last has been specially planned in honour of the ongoing popularity of the classic dish.

That’s not all, to top it all off Hard Rock Cafe Manchester is also running a competition to win the hottest tickets in town, to its star-studded birthday party on Thursday 17 September. BRIT Award-nominated rockers The Feeling will be putting on fantastic live show, sure to get everyone on their feet! The Feeling will join a host of amazing acts that have graced the Hard Rock Cafe Manchester stage throughout the years, including the likes of Feeder, Duran Duran, Rixton, Kodaline, James Blunt, Ocean Colour Scene, Bonnie Tyler, Mel C, James, Starsailor and Ben Montague to name a few.

Hard Rock Cafe Manchester opened in 2000 and has since become a hub of great live music, offering top quality American cuisine. Since then, as well as being a burger mecca, the cafe has sold more than 300,000 potato skins, a heafty 51 tonnes of ribs and 57,000 of its mouth-watering Hot Fudge Brownies. Hundreds of thousands of visitors have stepped into its Rock Shop and bought more than 50,000 Classic Hard Rock Manchester T-Shirts along with 93,000 pins.

As well as hosting over 800 live music events, the cafe has also welcomed some high profile guests including super boy band One Direction, ultimate rocker’s Noel and Liam Gallagher as well as power couple David and Victoria Beckham!

Important to Hard Rock is cafe’s commitment to supporting local charities and initiatives. Hard Rock Cafe Manchester has so far raised an outstanding £160,000 for charity over the years. The majority of which has benefited local partnerships such as Forever Manchester, The Nightingale Centre and Cash 4 Kids.

Unlike any other Hard Rock Cafe in the UK, Manchester also owns its very own beehives on the roof of The Printworks building. Home to over 320,000 bees, honey produced and packaged up in special edition jars in collaboration with local street artist Mancsy has so far raised over £1,000 for local charities.
