Heathcotes Outside triumph at Mobo Awards
MORE than 1,000 VIP guests were treated to cuisine from around the world by award-winning caterers Heathcotes Outside at this year’s MOBO Awards Ceremony.
The event, which took place at Liverpool’s Echo Arena, attracted stars including host of the BBC’s Strictly Come Dancing, Alesha Dixon, boy band JLS, and Grammy award-winning rapper, Nelly.
Guests were treated to vodka cocktails upon arrival followed by a menu which merged authentic Jamaican cuisine with specialities from the North of England.
Dishes included Jerk Chicken and Caribbean Lamb curry served with Coconut Rice, Scouse, a traditional Liverpool stew, and Beer battered Fish and Chips.
Heathcotes Outside provided 140 staff, including 16 chefs.
Angus Wilson, General Manager of Heathcotes Outside at the Echo Arena, said: “The night was a tremendous success, which is testament to the hard work of the entire team.
“The menu acknowledged the arena’s location alongside the River Mersey while also reflecting the heritage of the MOBO awards. The feedback has been incredibly positive.”
It was only the second time the MOBO awards have been held outside of London in its 15 year history.
Bars and hotels across the city were fully booked and the event is thought to have contributed more than £10m to Liverpool’s economy.
