Ithaca opens in Manchester!



It’s been over two years and £4m in development but finally Ithaca restaurant and bar is launching in Manchester city centre. The time and money has been well spent and undoubtedly Ithaca will soon be deemed one of the North’s premier fine dining venues.

The venue is in the heart of Manchester on John Dalton Street, and spread over four floors with a stylish and opulent monochrome interior. The ground and first floor restaurants will serve modern Japanese cuisine but with several novel touches to cater to a European palate. The menu was devised by Head Chef is Nasser F Laziri, who previously worked at Zuma and Nozomi in London and he has painstakingly created a list of sublime dishes for Ithaca using only the very best ingredients.

The concept for Ithaca was devised by Managing Director Arnie Hira, who has worked tirelessly for the past two years to make his dream a reality.
Arnie Hira said: “Part of the reason that it has taken so long is because I didn’t want to take second best in any aspect of the restaurant. I want the best levels of service, food, drink and décor in order to deliver something of the highest calibre. I think people will appreciate that fact when they come and I’m sure it will stand the test of time.”

Ithaca Restaurant (Ground Floor)
This restaurant will provide 34 covers and the layout consists of square tables and chairs plus booths with banquette seating. Lighting comes from amazing mirrored chandeliers, accompanied by an ambient glow from the kitchen which creates a lively atmosphere.
The restaurant is open Tuesday to Sunday inclusive, with lunch (12pm to 3pm) and evening sittings (6pm to 11pm Thurs, Fri and Sat, and 6pm to10pm other days).

Ithaca Restaurant (First Floor)
Slightly larger than the ground floor restaurant this room serves 38 covers with a master table at the end of the room for 10 diners.

Cocktail Bar (Second Floor)
The lounge bar Ikarus is open to diners and non-diners alike and has a capacity of 60 and will be open from noon till 1am. The bar area is dominated by an amazing 30ft by 20ft oval shaped bar made of solid black glass. The drinks menu includes an amazing range of original cocktails created by Director of Bar Operations Sean Finnegan.

Lounge Bar (Third Floor)
This is a private lounge for members and guests on Thurs, Fri, and Sat from 7pm to 1am, with a capacity of 50. In the earlier half of the week it is available for private hire.
