Keele Hall undergoes £300k refurb

KEELE HALL INVESTS £300K, TAKING STAFFORDSHIRE EVENTS TO A NEW LEVEL

Keele Hall, Keele University’s premier conferencing and events venue, is investing £300,000 in a major transformation that will create the largest banqueting suite in Staffordshire.

The significant refurbishment will see the current split level suite expanded into one large level space, meaning the room will be able to accommodate up to 750 guests for corporate events and celebrations. The extended space will also be large enough for cars, making it perfect for auto launches and will have significant stand space available for exhibitions, able to accommodate 58 2mx2m exhibition stands.

The renovation work, which began on 24 December and will be completed in March, will be carried out by local companies, providing significant investment for the Staffordshire business community.

Keele-based building consultants, Poole Dick Associates, are project managing the refurbishment, co-ordinating all elements from architecture to interior design, and construction.

Construction specialists, J&S Seddon, based in Stoke-on-Trent, are continuing their long-term involvement with Keele University and undertaking all construction work.

Piranha Audio Visual, a new start up company based within the university’s conferencing team will be adding state of the art equipment to accompany the venue’s traditional Victorian architectural charm, including fully integrated AV and IT systems, six projection screens, a large moveable stage and a full low-energy lighting rig.
