The Wigan Outdoor Market Kitchen Theatre - 7th – 12th March
One of the most popular elements of the Festival. 6 days of FREE events and activities featuring the brilliant ‘Skool Dinners’ – the battle for the title Wigan Mini Chef. Tasting sessions, food and drink giveaways plus cookery demonstrations by the borough’s top chefs and a sprinkling of top celebrities.

Food & Drink in the Community
New for this year we have joined forces with our Libraries and Heritage services in Wigan to provide something a little different. We have author visits from Milly Johnson and Adrian Tierney-Jones as well as talks on our local food delicacies. Heinz are also providing some extra special events with the history of Heinz, healthy eating and special tasting sessions. Sure to be an enhancement to our already established festival.

The Wigan Fine Food Trail
This is a recommended listing of the Borough’s top eating establishments. The restaurant partners will be those that represent the best of the Borough and thus support us in our quest to change perceptions and promote a message that Wigan possesses high quality restaurants with top chefs at the helm.

The Lancashire Hotpots
A FREE live outdoor concert by one of the country’s best loved and award winning comedy folk groups. Not to be missed, a real family treat!
