Manchester Riots - an update on the situation in Manchester Centre

We've spoken to and visited some restaurants in Manchester today to get a feeling for whats happening in the city centre.... there is mixed opinion. The police have been in touch with a number of restaurants across the city.

Beluga, near the town hall say they have had a number of cancellations and are expecting to close up at around 7pm.

Bacchanalia were told to close by the police to close and at time of writing were shutting there doors (6:50pm).

Circus Casino and 110 Restaurant are monitoring the situation and intend to put customers and staff safety first.

Viva Brazil (off Deansgate) had the most chilling update. We were told that around "100 hoodies" had just passed the door.

Problems seem to be around the Arndale Centre and Piccadilly Gardens. Further out from the centre there are hopes that the situation will remain calm. It would be prudent to call the restaurant before dining in the Manchester area.
