Happy San Sebastián Day!

Wednesday 20th January is San Sebastián Day, or Tamborrada, a festival to celebrate their patron Saint - you guessed it - Saint Sebastian. The festival starts at midnight on 19th when the Mayor raises the region's flag & 24 hours of celebration & drumming commences. Nowadays, the celebration consists of sophisticated seafood-based meals at Sociedades Gastronómical (Gourmet Clubs).

So, join us on the 19th, for a delicious specials menu of traditional Basque seafood dishes, paired with cocktails made with the Basque sloe-berry liqueur Patxaran & everyone's favourite Txakoli & let us celebrate, Basque style.

Pintura is a brand new kitchen and bar in Leeds and has been inspired by our own experiences working and spending time in the food-crazed Basque region of Spain.

Pintura translates as 'work of art' and our aim is to paint an authentic portrait of Spanish tapas using traditional recipes and artisan ingredients combined with bold and modern flavour combinations.

Located in the heart of the city centre in Trinity (behind Marks and Spencers), we are set over four floors with vibrant décor evoking the feeling of San Sebastiàn and an intimate outdoor seating area.

We have converted our basement into our very own gin bar, serving over 30 different gins including our own, Portobello Road.

Our signature drink is the 'copa' gin & tonic serve - a large measure of your preferred gin, a wealth of different tonic water and some wonderful garnishes. It is popular all over Spain and particularly the Basque region.
