Isinglass have a new winter menu

Defrost the soul. Come out to Isinglass to taste our new winter menu.

Instead of going down the Australian auction route, here at Isinglass we're keeping the quality flag flying - food gently nudged from field to plate with the minimum messing about and definitely no boil-in-the-bag nonsense.
Lots of lovely well-sourced local food with full traceability and a clear conscience.

We're making sure Isinglass has something for a casual catch up with mates and a place to mark life's milestones..this menu mixes old favourites, outright treats and classics at pub prices, quite frankly. Try doubly delicious Pork Belly and Loin - naughty and nice - with Welsh cockle, potato, bacon & onion cake. It just works. And not content to just drink the fine output of Dunham Massey Brewery, we've slipped their Cherry Ale into a rich steak stew with horseradish & oregano dumplings.

Cheese lovers can try out a revamped slate with newcomer Distinctively Delamere, a long-lingering but creamy goats cheese which also features on our flatbread main course, brine-washed Quenby and a top Stilton. Pop along to our Cheese & Wine Night on Wednesday 18th February for a fun insight from cheese maker Adrian Hill while trying a good selection along with a large glass of red for £12 from 7.30pm. email or call us back to book.

Mentioning lovers, we can test the romanic potential of our new allegedly 'kinky pink' (said Efka) interior touches on Valentines Night. True to form we're sensibly running this menu with share plate specials for those in a love bubble and not forcing silly prices or dishes onto anyone. And when a well-deserved blow-out beckons, we've our top-notch new mixed grill - a real he-man dish. Our Hereford fillet steak has had a deluxe makeover with chicken parfait, mushrooms & a rich port sauce - try with our epic Old World Shiraz or under twenty quid Barolo for a deeply satisfying date with your
appetite.

And coming very soon - Saturday family-friendly 'Coffee Mornings' - face paints, toys, cake stall, all day breakfasts and an escape zone upstairs to read the papers in peace. Then a Sunday night chilled DJ session. And dig out your boots for a guided forgage around Urmston in March, followed by a Wild Food Feast...

Keep warm!
