Cocktail Recipe: Soap Sud Caipirinha at The Laundrette
The cocktails at The Laundrette always stand out for originality and have the creative ‘spin’ on the restaurant’s quirky name throughout.
This cocktail, the latest from cocktail queen Rebecca, ticks all of the boxes once again named the apt Soap Sud Caipirinha.
As you can see in the images, it lives up to its name with a beautiful caipirinha with toasted foam sitting on top.
If you’d like to attempt to make this at home simply follow the method below:
1 whole lime muddled
3 bar spoons of caster sugar
50ml Velho Barreiro cachaca
Churned with crushed ice
Topped with our house made foam and toasted.
The foam is made using a cream whipper with egg whites, apple juice and maraschino cherry juice.
If you’re like us however you might want to just pop down to Beech Road instead and enjoy one of these made properly for just £7.
They’d go well with any of their ongoing specials from the ever-changing board.

The Laundrette opened in August 2013 on the former site of the Soap Opera laundrette on Beech Road, Chorlton. Our aim is to serve great cocktails and pizza in a contemporary environment.
All our food and drink is made fresh on site each day and we strive to support the local community in using only our fantastic local suppliers.
Whether lounging in the sun outside on our huge comfy sun terrace by day, or celebrating with friends at the bar in the evening, we have something for everyone, all backed by a great soundtrack and amazing atmosphere.
