The White Horse Pub, Chester unveils exciting expansion
The White Horse Pub, Chester Race Company’s newest venture in its leisure portfolio today unveiled the results of an exciting expansion project.
The gastro-style pub, which officially opened in April (in time for Chester’s May Festival) has enjoyed an healthy summer of trading and owing to the venue’s growing popularity, with its child-friendly pirate themed play area, has already extended the building to accommodate 90 additional diners in an adjoining conservatory, increasing the internal dining capacity from 70 to 160 diners. The purpose built extension also features a retracting roof and windows which will open up the space for al-fresco dining in the summer season.
The completion of this latest project is timed perfectly for the many visitors expected to pass through the racecourse’s gates in November and December when a new event, Winter Wonderland, transforms the centre of the racecourse into a magical Christmas experience for all the family to enjoy. Winter Wonderland officially opens to the public on November 21 and remains open until January 5 and during which time, The White Horse is expecting many first time visitors through its doors to the solace of the pub’s wood-burning fires and cosy sofas.
New Year’s Eve also promises something extra special for families with fire eaters, stilt walkers and a family-friendly firework display to add to the many attractions of Winter Wonderland, which includes a real ice ice-rink. Bookings are already being taken for Christmas and New Year with a set three Course starting at £24.95 for adults.
