What’s going on at Tom at 101 Upstairs……?

Credit Crunching Dawn till Dusk Menu
(2 courses for £10)

Like Gordon & Alistair, Tom’s trying to keep money in your pocket! He’s frozen the price for his Dawn till Dusk Menu but the food’s always fresh and warming, and there’s still some cash left for a bottle of wine or some of our other drinks offers. You could even try one of our Homemade Puddings to finish?


The Bar – Meet, Drink, Relax, Chat…

The Bar upstairs at Tom’s is the perfect place in the Village to spend a cozy night or a long afternoon, just relaxing and catching up with friends. Tom has many tempting offers available all week, including our fabulous 2-for-1 Cocktails, our Pasta & Wine offer, Beers for the Boys, and all our voucher offers on the Onion Ring website. With the February snow, Tom @ 101 is warm and inviting, and the Bar gives you the opportunity to eat & drink in more relaxed surroundings.

Bar tables can be reserved at various times of the week, including lunchtimes where you can just come up for a coffee and make use of our Wireless Internet Access should you want to escape from the office.


Thursdays with Kojo & Saxophone Sundays

Our live Thursday night duo ‘Kojo’ have built up something of a cult following over the last year or so, and the restaurant has become a ‘must visit’ for those who want something a little bit different. Ideal for couples and parties alike, Simon & Sheriff will entertain playing a selection of Acoustic Soul, Jazz & Blues. The guys play from 830pm till 1130pm but all you girls on a night out could persuade them, we’re sure!!

Fridays see our resident Magician Darren O’Neill, & Sunday afternoons welcome Phil our Saxophonist completing your weekend in style from 5pm till 8pm.


Dave Hollington will be singing Live on Tuesday 3rd February – jump at the chance to hear the Village’s very own crooner.


Valentine’s Day – Saturday February 14th
Valentine’s Saturday promises to be special for you and your partner – our Head Chef Bachara will tempt you with some delightful specials to share. We still have tables remaining for those who want to ‘double date’, or even those who want to dine with more than 4, but they are booking fast. Don’t miss out!!


Mother’s Day – Sunday March 22nd

To avoid disappointment, book your family early for our Sunday Roast and show Mum that you care. Tom has tables available from midday right through to closing time for the family to spend your Sunday whilst we do all the cooking and the washing up.

‘Special’ Specials!!

Our weekly specials have taken the delights of the Restaurant to new heights with our kitchen team headed by Bachara Chamun bringing you a wonderful array of food that differs from our a la carte menu – recent weeks have seen a Pithivier of Bass with Aubergine Caviar & Black Olive Tapenade, a Warm Salad of Seabass Confit Nicoise, a Rare Roasted Beef with Mini Yorkshire Pudding & Homemade Horseradish, and our Sous Chef Rich Nuttall’s amazing Terrine of Rabbit with Salad of Frisée, Carrot, Chive & Balsamic Jus. Changing every week just before your weekend, our specials offer something exciting and different to regulars and new customers alike.

Spring Menu Competition
Dinner for 2 to be Won!

Our Menu is changing again as Tom obtains the freshest produce, and we are holding a competition to mark the occasion. Please submit a favourite dish of your own you would like Tom to serve in the Restaurant, and those dishes on our current menu that you simply can’t do without! Should your dish be chosen for our Spring Menu, we will reward you with a Champagne Dinner for 2. Get thinking and win!

Entries may be submitted by email, or by post, and closing date is the last day of February.



Tom’s Infamous New Years Eve Party

Once again, the Restaurant heaved as the New Year’s revelers welcomed in 2009. DJ Mark Wilde made sure the dancefloor was jumping, and your staff made sure everyone was well-fed and watered. The guests were treated to confetti cannons and the sound of Big Ben at Midnight, and the hardy souls remaining were treated to Bacon Butties early in 2009. Details in this newsletter very soon of our plans for the next one!!
