Our party of 10 ate here on Thursday 26th February 09. The decor inside is very basic, in fact it is more like a school canteen than a restaurant, but don't let that put you off because the buffet service food is excellent! A very wide selection of Chinese food on offer including hot and sour and chicken and sweetcorn soup. All turins were well stocked and the food was fresh and hot. Try the squid in batter ( absolutely delicious). Nice spare ribs too! With ample drinks of beer and wine our bill came to less than £ 200 which we thought was excellent value! Staff also very polite and attentive without being obtrusive. This place also appears very popular with students and it's not hard to see why! A very good value Chinese restaurant.

My friends and I have frequented the No.1 buffet for a long time. My most recent visit was just as all the others - great! The food is hot and fresh. It really is good food. The choice is fantastic. Starters, Main dishes, rice and noodles AND desserts. The one thing that separates it from the rest in my opinion is the choice of more expensive dishes like prawns and crispy aromatic duck pancakes. The price is reasonable and the staff are friendly. They clean your plates the second you've finished and they're only too happy to help when you need a drink or your bill. I 100% recommend this buffet restaurant - it's the best 'all you can eat' chinese I know!
