A fantastic restaurant! Having spent many years sampling some excellent restaurants in Manchester's China Town, I have decided that the Tai Pan wins hands down. The steamed dim sum are particularly outstanding and the service is excellent. Parking is easier too because it's located on Upper Brook Street rather than in China Town. The only negative is that, being large and 'open plan', it's not the ideal place for an intimate meal for two.
