The Oyster Bar & lounge is located in the heart of The Old School House. Classic elegance and serene style create a unique atmosphere which has earned it "most intimate hotel bar" status by In-Out Magazine. Open from 11.00am until late, The Oyster Bar is the perfect place to meet friends, enjoy traditional afternoon tea or to simply relax with newspapers.

A bar menu is available all day from 12 noon until 10pm everyday. Food can be eaten casually in the bar area or more formally upstairs on the bar mezzanine level. You can enjoy a light snack such as soup or salad or a more substantial main meal such as rib eye steak or Lancashire hotpot. There is also a great selection of ʻback to schoolʼ desserts such as boozy rice pudding.

Private dining is also available in one of our class rooms where we have a choice of menus to choose from.
