My friend and I came to Manchester for a shopping and girly weekend in December. We decided to treat ourselves and stay at this hotel - what a disappointment! We booked through expedia and booked a room which stated included breakfast when we arrived at the hotel we were informed that breakfast was not actually included!! no apology for the mistake. The room consisted of two double beds - lovely! .... well until we pulled back the duvet and my bed had stains on it! - so i ended up sleeping on top of the covers, not what you would expect from a 4 * star hotel. The curtain in the room was half hanging off! We requested a smoking room but were actually put in a non smoking room so no ashtrays, when we questioned this we were told that there were no smoking rooms for us to swop into, again no apology. The lady who served us at reception seemed fed up and not interested in anyone or anything. I have had better service staying at a holiday inn!!!
