Located in Balham in South West London, the Eastern Empire offers an authentic slice of India to the locals and the ever-growing number of fans dedicated to this restaurant. The décor is unmistakeably Indian, using vibrant reds and contrasting white to add a splash of colour to the evening. The food is vibrant too with a menu of over 160 dishes, including baltis, biryanis and curries. There is something for everyone here and amongst familiar dishes, such as samosas and masalas, you will find other, more unusual meals such as tandoori trout and chot poti. A meal here will cost you around £15 for three courses, but it's worth noting that the restaurant has no alcohol license.
