With its lively music, 50 different types of tequila and colourful Mexican art adorning terracotta walls La Cantina brings the warmth and spice of to the streets of Brighton. The menu is authentic Mexican, no Tex-Mex fajitas here, in fact a lot of the traditional recipes come from the co-owners Mexican mother so tuck into Quesadillas, a grilled corn tortilla filled with chicken, chorizo, beef or mushroom (all at £4.95). Mains include Tacos in various combos including vegetable (£8.95), steak (£10.95) and chorizo (£9.95); seafood lovers should try the Sea Bass in Green Salsa and Garlic and carnivores the Carnittas, roasted pork with Mexican spices both at £12.95. There's a special kids' menu at £3 per dish and Mexican desserts include Banana Cake and Passion Fruit Pie both at £3.95.
