Shilpa Indian Restaurant specialises in South Indian food, especially of the Keralan variety. South Indian food in general caters very well for vegetarians and included in the vegetarian special menu are Parippu Cheera (Lentils, Spinach and Garlic based) or Pacha Curry Khorma (Vegetable and cashew nuts in coconut sauce). Due to Kerala's long stretch of coast, along with a watery environment inland, the region has a long tradition of fish and other seafood dishes which is reflected in the Shilpa menu; Kerala Fish Curry or a Fish Moili are both £6.50. There are also chicken and lamb dishes, a range of delicious Keralan desserts and lunch time specials as well as take away lunch boxes.
