About The Anchor Inn at Sutton Gault
Situated just 7 miles from the cathedral city of Ely in Cambridgeshire, the Anchor in at Sutton Gault offers modern British cuisine from a 17th Century building. The restaurant is critically acclaimed and recognised by most major food publications. The interior is a trip back in time; pine tables balance on uneven floors, gas lamps flicker and there is even an open fire. The menu is definitely 21st Century; meals such as smoked pigeon breast with mizuna leaves, ostrich steak with herbed cous cous and goat's cheese soufflé with tomato chutney are modern and inventive. Desserts are equally dynamic; choose from sweets such as cappuccino pannacotta and baked smoked camembert. Three courses costs an average of £75 per person.
