With a history stretching back to the 17th century, The Rose and Crown is a well-established gastro-pub in the leafy north London suburb of Highgate. The restaurant at the back of the building once housed a bar which played host to thirsty royals, but now occupies itself with a menu of traditional British favourites with an international twist - look out for Hungarian goulash next to the Sunday roast.
