About Woods Brasserie

Woods has been delighting the gastronomes of Cardiff since 1993 when it first opened in Talbot Green; now sited in the Pilotage Building, the restaurant has become one of the city's most popular with a chic yet welcoming ambience and a Modern European menu that seems to demand repeated visits. Dishes range from pan-seared squid Putanesca to Nori-rolled ballotine of poached salmon with keta eggs and cucumber dressing (to start) and mains of roasted lamb rump with Provencal vegetable, lamb jus and tapenade, showing an approach that is both cosmopolitan and approachable - well-conceived dishes that everyone can enjoy, with local produce very much in evidence. With regular live music on offer and a pre-theatre menu there's always a good reason to make that next booking.
