Went for takeaway Cod & Chips. Fish was cooked to order & chips seemed fresh. Also got curry sauce, which they were proud of. Fish was really fantastic, chips I prefer a bit less crispy and I'm not sure they weren't processed, but still above average and I expect reliably so. Curry sauce was good, tastier than usual but still hearty enough, could've been a margin thicker. Food comes in a box, which made me feel a bit poncy, but the fish was still crisp and piping when I got it home. I missed the ceremony of unwrapping the paper though. Staff ( inc owner?) were very friendly - I asked and paid for a can of coke, but they only had bottles, and I got a free upgrade, I can't resist saying that I'd've preferred the can, but that's 'cos I'm a fussy fool, stuck in his ways. All in all, good, and got the impression most likely always so.

rag pudding- unmissable. Fabulous portions, lovely fish and they deliver! The best chippy in the area and worth a drive for!

Quite simply the best fish around here, batter is perfect, staff polite, quite a different experience for fish and chips
