The Hub Alehouse and Kitchen opened in February 2011 and is part of Liverpool's own group of city centre eateries which form Bistro Qui? Ltd. Also in the company's portfolio is Bistro Pierre in the Cavern Quarter, Bistro Jacques on Hardman St, and Bistro Franc on Hanover St.
Company directors and family members, Mark Friend and Stephen Slater entered the catering industry in London in the 90′s where they learnt their trade from the bottom upwards, carrying plates and scrubbing pans. Almost 10 years ago, they opened their first venture in their hometown, Bistro Pierre in The Cavern Quarter. The success of Bistro Pierre was soon followed up by the other two bistros and more recently The Hub. Mark and Steve along with the management team of Bistro Qui? Ltd are planning to expand and open more venues in the near future. The company wants to continue 'making good times taste great!'.

The place is clean and lovely however the food is average and don't get me started on the service. I waited ages to catch someone's attention. Took forever to order food and people that came in a while after us were getting their food before us. I ordered a drink of tea and had to ask them twice for milk as they forgot to serve it with the tea. If you don't mind paying above average price for average food and waiting an eternity for it then this place is for you.
