About Jamie's Italian

A partnership between Jamie Oliver and his Italian mentor, chef Gennaro Contaldo, Jamie's Italian has won thousands of fans for its delicious and affordable food since launching their first restaurant in Oxford in May 2008. The Jamie's Italian menu is based on dishes you'd find people eating all over Italy, made with care but delivered without fuss.

The family-friendly restaurants are all about serving up rustic, Italian food made using the best possible ingredients, plus fresh pasta that's made on-site every day, and an award-winning children's menu, too.

Set in the heart of the city, Jamie's Italian in Manchester occupies a magnificent grade II listed building dubbed the 'King Of King Street'. With room for up to 240 people on the ground floor and mezzanine of this old bank, many of the original features and fittings have been kept, making it the perfect spot for a really unique dining experience. It's worth a visit just to see the huge windows and stately pillars – and, of course, for our delicious food!

If you're looking for something a little bit different, there are also several unique private dining rooms for up to 18 guests, including the famous bank vault – perfect for dining in style.

After spotting the restaurant on Onionring we decided to take my mum for mothers day. We had a lovely time. Food, service and atmosphere were all spot on. Only slight issue we had was that our table was in front of a coat rack so my mum was elbowed and nudged a few times. This wouldn't stop us going again however

Pleasant food however on the day of our visit the music was rather too loud. Will go back though
