Excellent varied menu, lots of dishes with an 'out of the ordinary' twist,great for veggies, friendly welcoming staff and not at all expensive. We're new to the area but The Edge will certainly feature in our top 3 of places to eat out.

I am a reluctant visitor to restaurants as I do not like to pay for a meal only to think I could do better. Too much salt, too much oil, too large a portion etc. The Edge was a delight. We went midweek and enjoyed every bit. Attentive staff, good souuoundings and great food. Will be back

I have been to The Edge a few times, the main reason being that it is local, the food is sometimes very good and there is no other restaurant offering similar cuisine in Marple, so there is not much competition. However on our last visit I was really put off because the woman who appeared to be in charge was very bad tempered with all the staff and was telling them off constantly, I also think that the prices are too high for the quality of food/cooking and the overall decor is not that great (upstairs you feel like you are sitting in someone's sitting room and downstairs is too cold and it's also a bit too light). Although it's a short drive (for Marple Residents) I would recommend No. 29 in Whaley Bridge - the food is excellent as is the atmosphere and the people who run it are also extremely nice - it's just a shame we have to drive home afterwards.
